Majestic Loves

Recently I've been getting a few questions about a range of wines that are affordable yet allow you to experiment with different styles. After some research, I tried 3 different ranges that span many wine varieties at an affordable price point:

🧡 'I heart' range (available in most supermarkets)

💜 'Taste the Difference' range at Sainsburys

💙 'Majestic Loves' range from Majestic wine Warehouse.

All three of these ranges offer you an affordable way to experiment with your wine, knowing that you're going to get styles that showcase the typical characteristics of each variety. If you like it, you can start to go up the price ladder, starting to add more complexity, richness and depth.

I'm focusing on the Majestic Loves range - all bottles are £6.99 (Unless you buy 6 in which case each bottle goes down to £5.99), plus how good are those labels, illustrated by Jean Jullien!

Pictured Below:

  • Majestic Loves Sauvignon Blanc - offering high acidity, lemony freshness and sharp granny smith apples. From here, work your way onto a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand), that will show a slightly more rounded and fuller texture start to deliver stone fruits of peach and apricot.

  • Majestic Loves Shiraz - Big dark fruit flavours with a peppery spice on the finish. From here, work your way onto a premium Australian Shiraz made from old vines for more concentrated flavours, deeper fruit, bramble and eucalyptus along with a controlled spice of pepper and cloves that I love with a Shiraz.

  • Majestic Loves Spanish Red - A very easy drinking red wine made from Tempranillo. It offers young flavours of red berries and works well with any kind of tapas. From here, go for a Rioja with a bit of age on it to experience deeper darker cherry fruit flavours and a more structured tannin.
