Vermouth

I spent a fun Sunday experimenting with Vermouth.

These 3 bottles of Vermouth are by Gonzalez Byass (you may recognise these guys as big players in the Sherry world). Their production of Vermouth goes back to Victorian times, the recipe is kept under lock and key, and is considered one of the best kept secrets in the drinks world.

A fortified wine (up to 18% abv), infused with herbs and spices Vermouth is used in plenty of classic cocktails (Negroni and Martini for starters), however it’s making its revival with customers looking for a more complex flavour and natural ingredients.

Read my article about Vermouth and cocktails (recipes provided by Nate Brown) over on the Skin & Pulp Website.
