Ginny Povall: South African Pinot Noir
If you know me you know I'm a Pinot Noir fan. I was excited to try this one not only because of it's beautiful label, or the fact it was found for me by the lovely ladies at Grape and Nectar , but because it's from South Africa.
Birichino - Zinfandel
This Birichino Californian Zinfandel is a great example of a well rounded Zin. Bold, ripe red cherry, strawberry and sweet tobacco.
Rioja Blanco
This is a Rioja Blanco. A clean, crisp easy drinking white. Melon, pear and peach. I like to have wines like this in the fridge ready to go - meaning: good with food.

Rosé for Winter?
This summer I had a bit of a love affair with rosé. Straight, on the rocks, spritz, frozé, fizzy - you name it, I had it. If it wasn't pink I wasn't interested, here’s the wines I’m taking with me into the cooler months.

Wine Comparison
Taking in the last of the summer ☀️☀️ with a 'comparisons' wine tasting. I wanted to show the group that just because it says 'Pinot Noir' or 'Sauvignon Blanc' on the label doesn't always mean it tastes the same.

A Great Greek Grape
I'm relatively new to the greek wine scene, tentatively dipping my toes into the warm sea of native great grape varieties that just can't be produced anywhere else.
A Scottish Rum Story
The words Scottish and Rum aren’t often used together, but this little bottle of white rum distilled in a historic farm by a guy with a great story made me wonder if we’d be seeing some more craft spirits like this soon.
The Scottish Spirit: Whisky
Ah Whisky, the spirit of the north. I couldn’t go to Scotland without fully immersing myself in this beverage. To call this Scottish Whisky or Scotch, it must be both distilled and aged in Scotland. Find out about my favourite Whisky at Dalwhinnie, a Highland distiller.
